As Gen Z gets older they have more and more buying power. They are going to college and joining the workforce now. If you are trying to market to Gen Z through your social media posting, keep these things in mind:
They engage more. Twitter isn’t the most popular platform because organic growth is difficult. Unlike other generations that will just scroll past the things they see in their feed, Gen Z is much more likely to engage with your tweets.
Let them feel like they are collaborating. Gen Z prefers brands that let them feel involved. Ask them for recommendations and input on your products! You can create polls on Twitter and this is a perfect way to get engagement from Gen Z. Ask questions to encourage engagement.
Post frequently. Gen Z is more attached to their phones than any generation, which means they are checking their favorite platforms multiple times a day. You should post on Twitter over three times a day to make sure your business is in front of Gen Z every time the check the app.
Respond to them. This generation appreciates conversation through social media platforms more than others. They tend to communicate and send feedback through direct messaging over email. Make sure you are paying attention to your messages on Twitter, otherwise, they will feel slighted and won’t want to engage or buy from your brand. They may even take to tweeting negative things about your business.
Share images. Gen Z is more likely to pay attention to tweets that have some sort of visuals. They do look at product photos and videos. This is a highly visual generation so you can get more creative with graphics and video to capture their attention. Video is still the preferred method of consuming content, so make sure to implement this.
