The ‘mute’ button is quite possibly the best thing to happen to social media since the thumbs down option was implemented. But we want people to use those for their uncle’s political posts, not for your business! So how can you be sure you aren’t falling prey to people muting or unfollowing your business page altogether?
You want people to be interested in your brand, right? Then your brand needs to be interesting. The concept sounds easy, but many business owners think their promo is interesting when in fact it’s just another ad on their newsfeed they quickly scroll past to get to the good stuff. In order to generate sales, you first need to garner the attention of your audience, and that means you need to speak about things they like. One of the best ways to sum this up:

Next, stay relevant! We know that seems cliche, but in a world that’s constantly changing, it’s important to keep up with the trends. If you’re still sharing “the dress” (it’s white and gold, btw) chances are your followers aren’t going to want to keep up with something that’s so 2015.
